All hair used in daVinci's monster Series 10 size 50 watercolor brush is dressed and prepared in the daVinci factory by skilled artisans who turn over the prepared hair to experienced brushmakers for hand shaping. In this way, quality standards are assured from raw material to finished brush. The Maestro designation denotes the highest quality Selected Winter Male Kolinsky Red Sable hair from the Tobol river region in Eastern Siberia. In this region, hair from male, winter tails grows the longest and strongest due to the extreme cold. Only a limited amount of these HUGE brushes are made each year due the rarity of lengthy hairs. Each Size 50 has a special sculpted wood handle for comfort and a seamless spaceage ferrule which give a unique look to this monster.
